On January 20, 2009 The Watts Family meet with Kristi Adams Director
of The North East Florida Humane Society to Discuss the possibility of a partnership with them. Later that day the decision was made to support the Northeast Florida Humane Society on a monthly basis.
The Northeast Florida Humane Society is located at 112 Norma Street in Hollister, FL. The are a NO KILL Shelter and have been so since Mid 2003. The currently house over 160+ pets and they have arranged for the adoption of over 23,000 pets in their 29 pulse years of operations.
They currently help place pets with loving homes in all of North East Florida from as for north as Jacksonville to South Daytona and west to Ocala. Kristi Adams Director of the North East Florida Human Society
tells us that they take in all types of animals including the rescuing of
many of the animals from animal control that are to be destroyed.
On Feb. 14, 2009 the North East Florida Humane Society with the help of local vets started as spay and neutering program. Since it inception they have spayed and neutered over 400 pets in the community.
The Watts Family is proud to support such an important organization in our community. As of January 20, 2010 the Watts Family will donate $1.00 of ever private pet cremation performed by the pet cremation company Cherished Pets By Watts. They will also donate $5.00 of every pet cremation package. The Watts Family will also be hosting a series of fund raisers for the Humane Society directed by Cammie Andrews our
Senior Cremationist at Cherished Pets By Watts. The Watts Family understand that money can only go so far to help any organization, people are also needed, which is why arrangements have been made for staff members of Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center to voluntary at the Humane Society Monthly.
